A Grand Canyon Experience

We had a vacation to Grand Canyon for the very first time last March. A month preparation was truly an ideal one for planning a trip. I tried to search for the do's and don'ts for our Grand Canyon vacation and good thing I followed those tips that helped us throughout our one week stay in the southern rim of Grand Canyon.

We drove along the rim to Desert View Drive which goes nearly along the rim for 26 miles east of Grand Canyon Village to Desert View which is the Entrance of East to the South Rim using an RV. We were so lucky to book an RV from RV Rentals. The agents provided me with alternatives that were pretty irresistible. We were very attracted with fantastic overlooks and views of the Canyon. We camped at the Mather Campground and I think it was the most accessible campground along the south rim of the canyon. The site was spacious, shady and quiet wherein you can appreciate the beauty of nature through its attractive forest. We haven't had a hard time finding for some food or anything we needed during our trip because there were restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Laundry and showers were also available in the campsites.

There was one thing lacking in the site: there were no hookups around the site but all in all they offer excellent campsite services. Their staffs, amenities and accessibility made us decide to have another visit in Grand Canyon next year.

RV goes to AleFest

The most popular drinking alcoholic beverage is beer. It is one of the widely used drink after water and tea. Social occasions such as festivals and parties offer beer in its plate. Pubs/disco pubs and some restaurants are the most famous places wherein beer is commonly used as a component of "partying" and "social dining". Because of the successful contribution of beer to the society, beer festivals are being held to different parts of the world.

AleFest is one of the most awaited American Beer Festivals. It is also called as the Craft Beer Festival wherein over 150 craft beers from more than 50 breweries, from local brewpubs to European favorites are ready to be tasted and critiqued on August 28th in Dayton and September 11th in Chicago, IL. It's gonna be its 3rd year in Chicago which was also held in Columbus and Dayton, OH. There will also be some representatives from Chicago-area breweries and brewpubs as Flossmoor Station, Goose Island, Metropolitan, Piece, Three Floyds and Two Brothers. These representative will be able to savor brews and quiz brewers or brewery reps about how their favorite beers are made. Live music, food exhibits, beer wearables and memorabilia for sale, including some at a silent auction. (see link: alefest)

Add Alefest to your calendars and book your tickets as early as possible. A road trip is the most convenient way of getting to the Alefest place in Chicago. You can swing to some beautiful sceneries while you're on your way to the festival or spare some days left to tour Chicago. Rent an RV for your Alefest experience and get some discounts by visiting RV rentals and call their hotline number for more information.

The Road to Jazz

Jazz is one of America's most favorite genres. It was originated at the beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in South United States from the convergence of African and European music traditions. It became popular in 1915 until now. Jazz are mostly played at lounges, coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and to various museums around America. Las Vegas is one of the popular places wherein people are looking forward to some Jazz treats from Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Lee Morgan and Art Blakey. It became more and more popular all over US.

As a result of an overwhelming embrace or americans to the Jazz music, Jazz music festivals were introduced in different states in the country. This year there would be various exciting festivals lined up and one of them is the Fillmore Jazz Festival in San Francisco, CA.The festival will be held on July 3 and 4 at the Fillmore Center Garage.

I'm sure there will be a large Jazz enthusiasts crowd by the first week of August. So as early as possible, I suggest you to rent an RV just to make sure of a comfortable and stress free vacation anywhere in the country. There are also some RV parks wherein you can spend some of the days left in your vacation. You can visit RV rentals for your reference.
